Finding Your Core Values
Core Values are the essence of a company's identity and they support the vision and the culture of an organisation. Core Values cannot be plagiarised and made to fit an organisation. They need to de developed from within to be authentic to your company and to the team. Once you have developed your core values you have a great foundation and guide for the way your team interacts with clients and each other.
The most effective way to develop core values is in having a neutral facilitator lead the process. We have developed an effective workshop that allows you to create your core values for your business. Once you have identified your core values you will find it easier to differentiate yourself from your competitors because you will have found your own very personal set of ‘whys'.
Your Core Values Process
You will want some quality time to consider these important cornerstones. We will provide you and your team with a series of thought provoking questions for each attendee to get thinking about their values and vision for the business. There will then be a 3 – 4 hour facilitated session guiding you through a process to create up to 5 core values with definitions. These will underpin the expectations of behaviour within your organisation where each team member will be expected to live by them and a way in which the organisation can hold itself accountable to its own core values and living into them.
Why do I need Core Values Development?
A clear set of core values is an excellent foundation for great business culture and will make leading and managing a team, and client expectations, a lot easier to achieve. When your team cohesively lives into your values then you are more likely to achieve your business goals.
Align Your Team
Differences in values, beliefs and strategies within your business can not only disrupt and destabilise your team and the culture within your business but it can also negatively impact your clients and confuse their expectations.
A business vision can get unified by having clear company values and increases alignment within the team.
Core values act as ‘decision-making filters' for the day to day operations of the business and bring individuals together with shared values.
Having defined core values can be inspirational for people to take positive action as they aspire to live into agreed Core Values.
